About
Drawing inspiration from Monet's renowned Nymphéas (Water Lilies) series, it blends floral scents with hints of ambiguity and fleeting perceptions.
Fragrant water lily notes intertwine with lily of the valley, jasmine, and aquatic water, while earthy tones of vetiver, oak moss, and maté add depth. Infused with the ever-changing nuances of smell, this fragrance evokes a mesmerizing sense of unfamiliar familiarity, akin to falling in love. Joyful, radiant, tranquil, delicate, enthralling.

Top: Pond Water
Heart: Maté, Lily of the Valley, Lotus
Base: Vetiver, Oakmoss

Through his series of 250 oil paintings called Nymphéas (Water Lilies), French Impressionist Claude Monet reveals his mastery in capturing the interplay of light, color, and reflection on water. Over the course of thirty years, Monet depicts his renowned garden ponds at his home in Giverny, showcasing nature's ever-changing transformation and ephemerality.

Despite his blurred vision from cataracts, Monet's paintings remain a testament to his expertise in capturing the beauty of his surroundings with scientific precision.

Kismet Olfactive is a New York City-based independent fragrance studio founded by bohemian-perfumer Shabnam Tavakol.

Born and raised in California, Shabnam—Farsi for “morning dew”—is the daughter of Iranian-immigrant parents who escaped the violent 1979 Revolution in Iran, relocating to the U.S. by way of hard-won efforts and a string of good fortune.

Recognizing this fortuitous past, Kismet—from the Persian qismat, meaning “fate,” or, “what is meant to be”—translates the serendipitous moments that make up our lives into wearable scents.

Kismet fragrances are made by hand in small batches, are unfiltered, and contain a high concentration of natural raw materials—therefore, some cloudiness or sediment may occur.
