About
Flushed at the big top, liquefied lip product, romantically intoxicated, alluring paradise, freshly infatuated beseeches for more from my mouth, more honey, more darling; a watercolor tongue gently nudges away the worry creasing your brow.

You see, some have sacrificed everything for a flower, an ethereal edelweiss that may be mistaken for a fantasy; perhaps a suitor always welcomes a chance to conquer. Falling in love is effortless in this manner.

Notes: Raspberry Gelato, Hibiscus, Tuberose, Lime Pulp, Cream Soda, Grass

The Brand

Universal Flowering is created by perfumer Courtney Rafuse.

Courtneys perfumes are a romantic extension of her memories - past and future.
They engage in dialogue with the liminal and the erotic, and are often formulated through a lens of synesthesia.

Known for collaborating with visual artists, fashion designers, and writers, her work has been featured and profiled in Nylon, Airmail, The Toronto Star, BBC Radio, & more.

Universal Flowering’s most recent perfume, “Seduction Theory” was released in May 2024 - a jasmine-centric perfume inspired by projection, fantasy, and the abandoned theory of Sigmund Freud.

Courtney is also co-founder of Gumamina, a side-project created with her friend and fellow perfumer, Marissa Zappas. Gumamina launched in December 2023.
